Saudi gross domestic product in 2025

Gross domestic product is a key measure of an economy’s size. It represents the total value of final goods and services produced within the economy during a defined period.

According to the Saudi General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) data cited in the original article, Saudi GDP at current prices reached approximately SAR 4.789 trillion in 2025, equivalent to about US$1.277 trillion at the official exchange rate of SAR 3.75 per dollar. Real GDP grew by 4.5% in 2025.

The figure reflects the scale of the Saudi economy as oil and non-oil activity continue to expand. The cited GASTAT figures show 5.7% growth in oil activity, 4.9% in non-oil activity and 0.9% in government activity during 2025.

It helps to distinguish GDP at current prices from real GDP. The first measures output using that year’s prevailing prices, so it is affected by prices and oil-market movements. Real GDP measures changes in the volume of economic activity after removing the effect of price changes.

Saudi GDP by quarter in 2025
QuarterGDP at current pricesUS dollars*
Q1SAR 1,198.65 billion$319.64 billion
Q2SAR 1,175.94 billion$313.58 billion
Q3SAR 1,191.10 billion$317.63 billion
Q4SAR 1,210.14 billion$322.70 billion

Dollar figures use the official fixed exchange rate of SAR 3.75 per US dollar. They are currency conversions, rather than each quarter’s actual average exchange rate.

The quarterly current-price series, based on OECD data, shows these levels for the four quarters of 2025.

For real growth, GDP increased year on year by 3.4% in Q1, 3.9% in Q2, 4.8% in Q3 and 5.0% in Q4, according to the latest GASTAT releases cited in the original article.

This shows a rise in the real growth rate from the beginning to the end of the year.
